Best practices and best results using puppets in the religious school classroom. Puppets are more than just fun, although they are that as well, but a practical easy way to reach multiple learners in the room. Through the use of puppets, with their interactive capacity to engage the mind, not only will the story be told but they will make the lesson the students' own product. This workshop is a make and take with a guarantee to have the product in 'hand' and the models for curriculum building available for the start of a successful school year! This workshop is designed for teachers working with grades K-4.
TORAH TALES WITH PUPPETS - Building a Torah Puppet-tree Presenter: Marilyn Price
The class will make biblical characters on site by making a puppet with a scroll-like appearance that will have their story inside, just like another scroll! Each participant will have the opportunity to make and take an easily producible puppet in the classroom for telling and teaching. The puppets are not only simple to create but have a long shelf life that will enable you to make the family of Torah available to you all year long! This workshop is designed for teachers working with grades K-4.
